Crown Reductions

Crown reductions are used to reduce the overall size of a tree. This is very different from topping, which is not recommended. A crown reduction removes no more than 25% of a tree’s overall circumference and no more than 25% of its foliage. Any more than this can damage the tree and compromise its structural integrity or natural form.

A crown reduction is best accomplished by removing limbs back to the original lateral capability of the remaining limb. When properly done, the removal of these limbs and branches will encourage the tree to form a healthy canopy. Our team will arrive with hauling trucks and shippers if needed to remove the debris from the area.
