Crown Reductions: Crown reductions are used to reduce the size of the overall growth of the tree. Very different to topping (which is not recommended) a crown reduction removes no more than 25% of their trees overall circumference and no more than 1/4 of its foliage. Anymore then this can damage the tree and compromise the structural integrity or natural form.
This is best accomplished by removing limbs back to the original lateral capability of the remaining limb. When properly done, the removal of these limbs and branches will encourage the tree to form a healthy canopy. Our team will arrive with hauling trucks and shippers if needed to remove the debris to the proper area.
